Pneumatic Components Ltd (PCL) was founded in 1938 when the first tyre pressure gauges were designed and manufactured in Sheffield. By the mid-forties the first quick release air line couplings and adaptors were produced; becoming affectionately known as PCL's. As air distribution in the workplace became an important part of modern engineering industry; PCL developed a variety of sophisticated products to meet customer demands.
